

Old PhotographYou are a black and white photograph stern and proud, your black lines and your white gloves ice and concrete. They are never smiling in old pictures. Did they hurt you? It is held parallel by your grey eyes. There's no red in an old photo no false, angry glare of yellow light piercing blue retinas no jungle-cat reflection in a digital flash, surreal, enslaving borders only , so hollow. Let me color you in with moonlight from Pluto, bluer than morning lightning and pink from alpenglow upon our mountains; can't you see the old gods? Can't you see the beauty?
